Singing for the Brain

A huge shout out from us to Singing for the Brain in Wells led by Eliza Wylie who every Wednesday morning brings live music and dance together to support people with their mental health. We were delighted that Eliza invited us along again. A brass chamber ensemble from Wells City Band provided live music for one of Eliza’s sessions this month. The same WCB chamber ensemble then went on to Fletcher House Care Home to join residents in an afternoon of music making. A few days later the band provided the music for a special Songs of Praise fundraising service for the Somerset School Coach Crash. The service took place at the community hall in Banwell. Wells City Band has been supporting its local community for over 186 years through live and interactive music. This will continue be an essential part of the bands musical purpose.
