Last Saturday, our annual Bridgwater Carnival Day lunchtime concert at St Mary’s Church drew our biggest crowd in eight years. It was the band’s first opportunity to showcase the new concert uniform, which still proudly retains the band’s historic colours of maroon and black.
A new format of three half-hour sets featuring an eclectic mix of music proved a real hit with the audience. It was also the first event where the band arrived in their new all-weather maroon jackets.
Thanks to Bridgwater Carnival for inviting us again, and to the organisers of the Wells Ecofest event, who asked the band to perform a lunchtime concert on Wells City Bandstand two weeks before our Bridgwater appearance.

The band is now in the middle of a busy run of community performances at care homes and other civic events, leading up to our Christmas concert with special guests, the Trull Primary School Choir, at Cedars Hall in Wells on December 14th.
This concert is almost sold out, with just a handful of tickets remaining.
