Certificate of Grateful Recognition
In November Wells City Band were invited to play at the commemoration of 100 Years since the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War. This occasion was part of the National Commemoration of “Battle’s Over”, a unique series of events involving organisations and communities the length and breadth of the country.
The band performed a free concert in Wookey Holes Caves Old Paper Mill, where £394 was collected from a raffle and collection of behalf of: Royal Naval Association, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and The Merchant Navy Association.
It was our privilege to perform this concert and be involved in the commemoration, so we were very humbled to receive this letter of thanks and Certificate of Grateful Recognition from the Chairman of St Cuthbert Out Parish Council.
